Limited Release Tenugui & Furoshiki
Tenugui and furoshiki cloths have been traditionally used in Japan as versatile thin hand towels that can be used as washcloths/dishcloths, wrappings for gifts and food, head-clothes, curtains and decor. We offer a selection of traditional tenugui imported from Japan as well as custom made ones in Organic Cotton and Bamboo fiber material. These custom tenugui's and furoshiki are limited release items and we only have a small selection of each pattern. Each one is vibrantly colored and can be used for wrapping rope, blindfolds, wrist ties, decor and more. All tenugui's on this page measure 37.5" long by 13" wide and have hemmed seams. Our furoshiki's are perfectly sized for wrapping rope and toys at 20" x 20" each with hemmed seams. Each tenugui and furoshiki below has a description along with price, starting at $8.00. Click photos for larger samples. What you see in the drop down menu is what is available and we update our listings often.
To care for your tenugui and furoshiki, wash in cold water (by hand or on the delicate cycle) separate from other items and tumble dry on low or hang dry, especially for the first wash. The cloth is thin so it will dry quickly. An iron on low can be used if needed.
