Japanese Tenugui

Tenugui cloths have been traditionally used in Japan as versatile thin hand towels that can be used as washcloths/dishcloths, wrappings for gifts and food, head-clothes, curtains and decor. Made from 100% cotton, our tenugui's have vibrant colored patterns and can be used for wrapping rope, blindfolds, wrist ties, decor and more. The tenugui's measure between 37.5" long by 13" wide and have hemmed seams. Each tenugui below has a description and dimensions along with price, starting at $6.00. Click photos for larger samples.

To care for your tenugui, wash in cold water (by hand or on the delicate cycle) separate from other items and tumble dry on low or hang dry, especially for the first wash. The cloth is thin so it will dry quickly. An iron on low can be used if needed.
